As a postdoc at Penn State, you are an affiliated member of the National Postdoctoral Association (NPA). The NPA is the best national resource exclusively for postdocs’ professional growth, offering webinars, career advice, and advocacy to enhance the postdoctoral experience.
To access your membership, follow these steps:
- Go to https://www.nationalpostdoc.org/ and click Join.
- Select your membership type: Affiliate Individual Member, Postdoc.
- Enter your institutional email address as your username along with your first and last name.
- Enter all required information and any other information you want in your profile.
- Click on Submit. The NPA will review your membership within 10 days and you will receive an email when it is approved.

Webinars: Access to live and recorded sessions on a wide range of career and professional topics for postdocs.
Career Center: A platform with career advice and job postings for postdocs.
